Professional Daydreamer

OTR

We had the pleasure of shooting Over The Rhine once again at the Largo a little while back. I love these guys. One of the best bands making music today! Check them out if you don't know what I'm talking about! This show took place just after Mickey Grimm smashed Guinness drum-roll record with an over 5hr Drum roll! Mickey will be moving on to new feats after this tour and we wish him well! We didn't realize, until we arrived at the Largo, that they don't allow photographs of their venue. The compromise was that we had to shoot from up in the crow's nest with the sound guys! I think we made the best of the situation, even though we had to run down the street to my house just minutes before the show to grab the 200mm f/2.8. These were all shot on 35mm Delta 3200 exposed for the shadows.

When Men Play Poker...

Man Poker

If someone were to offer you $20 to take a shot of vodka what would you say? Yes? What if you had to take it through your nose? I'm pretty sure most of us would change our answers after the second question. But not my good friend Justin Evans! He will do just about anything and in fact does! From climbing waterfalls to surfing in Hawaii on a borrowed board only to snap it on a wave too big to handle this 30 year old school teacher will do just about anything. And did I mention he is single ladies? Now let's see how much fun he had with a nostril full of cheep vodka...

Didn't quite finish the shot, but it was all rather entertaining nonetheless. He said it really cleared out his sinuses. I could think of better ways to gain clear nasal passages... But hey, if it works... it works?

20/20 Vision!

We usually don't divulge who captured what shot, because honestly it's virtually impossible for us to even tell with little difficulty! But at this point in the wedding we happened to be shooting separately without the aid of the other. Though we usually do confer with one another on how we will approach much of what we shoot, on this particular occasion we hadn't even discussed shooting this location at Pala Mesa Resort. I shot the Groomsmen while Brandon was with the girls getting ready. Then we separated again an hour later (notice the sun has moved) and he shot the Bridesmaids while I was getting some details. Needless to say, I was a bit confused when we processed the film. We even captured identical circular lens flares with our TLRs!
